He was married in Schaijk on May 13, 1861, at the age of 31 to
Adriana van den Hoogen (aged 26 years), born in Schaijk on August 6, 1834, daughter of Johannes van den Hoogen and Ida den Brok.
(She was married afterwards in 's Hertogenbosch on August 8, 1874, at the age of 40 to Andries van den Brand (aged 41 years), born in Lieshout on May 26, 1833, son of Wilhelmus van den Brand and Anna Swinkels. She was married afterwards in Vught on October 19, 1882, at the age of 48 to Hendrikus de Garde (aged 53 years), born in Vught on March 20, 1829, son of Joannes de Garde and Hendrina Vervoort.)
